Nancy Mcnamara, MD

Dr. McNamara received her medical degree from the University of Michigan. She went on to complete her residency in pediatrics and child neurology at the University of Michigan. She then completed an epilepsy fellowship at the University of Michigan.

She is an assistant professor at the University of Michigan, Mott Children’s Hospital, where she focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of childhood epilepsy, in particular pediatric epilepsy surgery. She, along with Dr. Fedak Romanowski and Dr. Hugh Garton, helped to establish a multidisciplinary pediatric epilepsy surgery program at the University of Michigan. Her other areas of interest are medical education and electrographic status epilepticus of sleep.

Dr. McNamara is very active in the child neurology residency program and the epilepsy fellowship program at the University of Michigan, acting as assistant program director for both.
